A Celebration of Culture
We would like to extend a warm invitation to you to join us at our 33rd Annual East Los Angeles Christmas Parade. On behalf of Supervisor Gloria Molina and the Whittier Boulevard Merchants Association, we would like to take this opportunity to thank the more than 150,000 proud people of East Los Angeles.
On Sunday, November 18, 2007, in cooperation with the County of Los Angeles the 33rd Annual East Los Angeles Christmas Parade will commence. This years Parade will make its way down the Historic Whittier Boulevard Shopping District marching straight through the heart of East Los Angeles - “THE GATEWAY TO THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES”
Now in its 33rd year, this unique Parade and venue features special celebrity guests, awning floats, marching bands, folkloric groups, drill teams and equestrian units and really showcases the rich culture and hospitality of the people of East Los Angeles.
Our Christmas Parade is the area's longest running Parade. Millions of spectators have enjoyed the Parade for over a quarter century, dating back to 1974. Many who sat on the sidelines and viewed the parade as young children are now bringing their own children to share the tradition of Santa's arrival to East Los Angeles.
This year’s event will be more fun and exciting than ever with the addition of “Santa’s Fiesta Lane” featuring vendor’s, games for the kids, music and live entertainment - and much more.
Please come and enjoy the greatest day of the year! FELIZ NAVIDAD
